Cabinetry Essentials
Building kitchen, bath, or even builtin cabinetry may seem daunting to do, but in this class I will break it down and make the whole process much easier. I will start with the design process and how cabinetry is made. Then we will make a cutlist for plywood and lumber to follow. Next is the fun part of cutting up the maple plywood and milling all the maple wood down. I will go over 2 methods of building cabinetry (tradtitional & european) in which we will build an upper cabinet the traditional way with a faceframe and 2 inset doors. As for the base cabinet, we will build that the european faceframeless style with a drawer and 2 doors. With both of these building styles you will learn how to make shaker style doors and drawer fronts. And learn how to use a dovetail router jig for the drawer. Once complete, you will have some extra storage space in you home or shop that can be painted, stained, or left clear.
